Lucas Donat (Chief Marketing Officer) founded Donat/Wald Advertising, one of the leaders in direct response advertising. Donat was the creative driving force behind the success of 1-800-DENTIST during its rise from a $250,000 start-up to its current position as the largest dental marketing company in America. He was directly responsible for creating every one of the over 100 TV campaigns developed over the 12 years his agency serviced the company and is credited with making 1-800-DENTIST a household name. In addition to the scores of campaigns he created for other direct response advertisers, Donat has developed campaigns for Mattel, MGM/UA, Columbia, Sony, Fox TV, CarsDirect.com and eCompanies. In 1999, Donat merged his agency into Futuredontics, the parent company of 1-800-DENTIST, to serve as Chief Marketing Officer. While there, Donat was responsible for launching the company's Internet division - Smileworks.com. Smileworks was launched in a co-branded campaign with Columbia's blockbuster hit Stuart Little. Donat attended Ithaca College School of Communications, where he received the Pendleton Award and grant for excellence in dramatic screenwriting.
