MATCHCRAFT PRIVACY STATEMENT
This privacy statement discloses the privacy practices for MatchCraft, Inc., a California corporation located at 520 Broadway in Santa Monica, California ("MATCHCRAFT") operating its business through the World Wide Web at http://www.matchcraft.com.
Information Collection and Use
MATCHCRAFT is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement. MATCHCRAFT collects information from our advertisers and publishers at several different points on our Website.
Registration
In order to use The MatchCraft Exchange advertisers and publishers must first complete the registration form. During registration, advertisers and publishers are required to give their contact information (such as corporate name, URL, e-mail address). Certain financial information is gathered from advertisers to assess creditworthiness and financial ability to pay for media space provided by publishers once active offers are submitted onto the Exchange Floor.
Cookies
A cookie is a piece of data stored on the advertisers' and publishers' hard drive containing information about the advertisers and publishers Internet Protocol (IP) address.
Use of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information while on our site. Once the advertisers and publishers close their browser, the cookie simply terminates. For instance, by setting a cookie on our site, the advertisers and publishers would not have to log in a password more than once, thereby saving time while on our site. If advertisers and/or publishers reject the cookie, they may still use our site. The drawback to this is that the advertisers and publishers will be limited in some areas of our site. Cookies can also enable us to track and target the interests of our advertisers and publishers to enhance the experience on our site.
Log Files
We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track movements and actions by users and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.
Sharing
We currently do not share aggregated demographic information. However, we reserve the right to do so in order to enhance our service offering, such as to provide advertisers with generic market data about the average cost of a Click, or the Click Through Rate being achieved by channels, or other information that would assist advertisers in pricing and publishers in accepting offers. This information will not be linked to any personal information that can identify any individual person and contracts between MATCHCRAFT and third parties will prohibit the use of personally identifiable information other than for providing such services. If we change our policy with respect to sharing, we will not do so retroactively and will update our Privacy Statement to reflect this change.
Links
This web site may contain links to other web sites. Please be aware that MATCHCRAFT is not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of each and every web site that collects personally identifiable information. This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by this Web site.
Newsletter
If advertisers and publishers wish to subscribe to our newsletter, we ask for contact information such as name and e-mail address.
Surveys
From time-to-time our site may request information from advertisers and publishers via surveys. Participation in these surveys is completely voluntary and the advertisers and publishers have complete control over whether or not to disclose any information requested in the survey. Survey Information requested may include contact information, demographic information and will be used for purposes of monitoring or improving the use and satisfaction of this site.
Referral Fee Service
If advertisers and/or publishers elect to use our referral service for informing another company about our site, we ask them for the company's name and e-mail address. MATCHCRAFT will automatically send the friend a one-time e-mail inviting them to visit the site. MATCHCRAFT stores this information for the sole purpose of sending this one-time e-mail. The company may contact MATCHCRAFT at http://www.matchcraft.com/about/contact.html to request the removal of this information from their database.
Security
This Website takes every reasonable precaution to protect information about our registered advertisers and publishers. When advertisers and publishers submit sensitive information via the Website, information is protected both online and off-line.
When our registration form asks advertisers and publishers to enter sensitive information (such as credit card numbers, bank account information, Tax ID numbers and the like), that information is encrypted and is protected with what we believe is the best encryption software in the industry today -- SSL. While on a secure page, the lock icon on the bottom of Web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer becomes locked, as opposed to unlocked, or open, when you are just surfing.
While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also take precautions to protect advertiser and publisher information off-line. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, our billing clerk or a customer service representative) are granted access to identifiable information. Our employees must use password-protected screen-savers when they leave their desk. When they return, they must re-enter their password to re-gain access to your information. Passwords automatically change on a periodic basis to further assure that access is authorized. Furthermore, ALL employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices. Every quarter, as well as any time new policies are added, our Legal Department notifies and/or reminds employees and/or about the importance we place on privacy, and what they can do to ensure protection and non-disclosure of our customers' information. Finally, we maintain the servers on which we store information in a secure environment, behind a locked cage and at one of the nation's largest and well-respected co-location facilities.
If you have any questions about the security at our Website, you can send an e-mail to security@matchcraft.com.
Supplementation of Information
In order for this Website to properly fulfill its obligation to our customers, it may be necessary for us, from time to time, to supplement the information we receive with information from 3rd party sources. For example, we may use sensitive information to request a credit report. Once we determine an advertiser's or publisher's credit-worthiness, this document is destroyed. We may combine aggregated information about the offers placed on or withdrawn from The MatchCraft Exchange Floor by advertisers and the offers accepted/rejected by publishers to provide all users with market-based data from which to base future buying/selling decisions.
Site and Service Updates
We send our advertisers and publishers important updates about the Exchange service. For example, we notify publishers who elect to receive updates via e-mail announcements about new offers placed on the Exchange Floor by advertisers designed to increase publisher revenue. We also contact advertisers and publishers to provide requested services and in regards to issues relating to their account via e-mail or phone. Registered advertisers and publishers are given the opportunity to un-subscribe from service announcements at any time.
Correction/Updating Account Information:
If an advertiser's or publisher's account identification information changes (such as corporate billing address, e-mail address, bank account, etc.), or if an advertiser and/or publisher no longer desires our service, we will endeavor to provide a way to correct, update or remove that advertiser's and publisher's data provided to us. This can usually be done at the member information page or by mailing our Customer Support staff.
Opt-out
Advertisers and publishers who no longer wish to use our service can either leave the account in a dormant status by not placing or accepting offers, or can discontinue the registration by emailing us at unregister@matchcraft.com. Advertisers and publishers who no longer wish to receive our newsletter or promotional materials may opt-out of receiving these communications by replying to unsubscribe in the subject line in the e-mail or e-mail us at unsubscribe@matchcraft.com. Advertisers and publishers of our site are always notified when their information is being collected by any outside parties. We do this so our advertisers and publishers can make an informed choice as to whether they should proceed with services that require an outside party, or not.
Notification of Changes
If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on our Homepage so our advertisers and publishers are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under circumstances, if any, we disclose it. If at any point we decide to use information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, we will notify advertisers and publishers by way of an e-mail. Advertisers and publishers will have a choice as to whether or not we use their information in this different manner. We will use information in accordance with the privacy policy under which the information was collected.
