Here’s what we found:

Highest and Lowest CPC in Q4 2023

Cost Per Click (CPC) is at the heart of your paid search strategy, revealing the investment for each click on your ads. Here’s a glimpse into the industries that experienced the highest and lowest CPC in Q4 2023:

Lowest CPC Industries

  • Arts & Entertainment – $0.37
  • Dating & Personals – $0.60
  • Travel – $0.87

Highest CPC Industries

  • Law – $3.34
  • Smart Technology – $3.14
  • Construction & Repair – $2.94

Law, which sits in second place, has seen its CPC increase by 6 cents, sitting at $3.34 from a high of $3.28 in Q3. Smart Technology has seen a more intense bump in CPC, increasing by 99 cents over the quarter ($2.13 in Q3). Construction & Repair has maintained its position as one of the highest, nestling in at $2.94, down 29 cents from our last report ($3.23).

For the lowest CPC this time around, Arts & Entertainment is leading the pack, dropping from $0.43 to $0.37.

But wait, that’s not all—let’s talk about click-through rates.

Highest and Lowest CTR in Q4 2023

Click-Through Rate (CTR) gauges the effectiveness of your ads in engaging potential customers. Let’s take a look into the industries that saw the highest and lowest CTR in Q4 2023:

Highest CTR Industries

  • Arts & Entertainment – 11.11%
  • Travel – 10.25%
  • Dating and Personals – 10.21%

Lowest CTR Industries

  • Religion & Spirituality – 1.74%
  • Agriculture – 2.47%
  • Industrial Goods & Services – 2.87%

Two of the most prominent industries this time around are Arts & Entertainment at 11.11% (down 0.43%) and Travel at 10.25% (a slight decrease of 0.14%). Real Estate has lost its footing and has been replaced in third place by Dating and Personals at 10.21%.

Religion & Spirituality has not seen growth over the quarter, maintaining a CTR of 1.74%, being followed closely behind by Agriculture and Industrial Goods & Services.
